PLEASED TO MEET YOU

We're Chris and Christine, we run Cricket Friends

Here's a bit about what we've done ...

As PR chief at SSAFA, I was media spokesman, editor, events publicist and looked after print and advertising. As a scribe, I've written for telecoms giants, national federations, local councils, coin dealers, astrologers and a stuntman. I've led Hogg Holidays in Europe, run a racehorse syndicate, been editor of Stumped cricket magazine and secretary of The Cricketers Club of London.

Christine worked at Granada TV promoting shows starring Natalie Wood,

Sir Laurence Olivier, David Bowie and Twiggy. She moved to ITN, assigning camera crews to news hot-spots around the world. She's helped to cover the biggest stories, including two Gulf Wars and the death of Princess Diana.

Here's what we do now ...

We launched Cricket Friends together and, 14 years on, it's as popular as ever amongst our 80 or so members. Though small in numbers, we're large enough to present the best cricket speakers around. We don't seek to grow too much as we're not commercially driven and wish to retain the warmth of Cricket Friends. That said, 100 members would be ideal, so if you enjoy good company and fancy joining us, you'll be made welcome at Cricket Friends.
